2021 Cadillac Escalade Sport

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade will be the model’s fifth generation and this new one is above the original in terms of luxury, style, and technology. Borrowing components from the Escala concept car from 2016, the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade offers visual flamboyance worthy of its price tag. There are two engines offered for the vehicle, a familiar 6.2-liter V-8 and a new turbo-diesel inline-six, the both of them are hooked up to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Inside of the vehicle, a series of clever curved OLED displays takes the Escalade’s dashboard to the digital world, serving as the gauge cluster and infotainment display in one efficient assembly.

Cadillac’s biggest SUV is powered by either a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generates about 420 horsepower and can disable half of its cylinders when cruising to preserve fuel or a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six. A 10-speed automatic transmission will be typical with both engines, and purchasers should be able to choose from the rear or all-wheel-drive setups based on their personal needs.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade now rides on an all-new platform with a self-sufficient rear suspension to help with a smoother ride. Higher-end models also provide an air suspension with adaptive dampers that uses a computerized shock absorber. At the test track, the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV with the V-8 engine accelerated to 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds.

As the forerunner of the Cadillac lineup, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade lifts the ante on in-cabin luxury. Faux leathers are used in the base Luxury trim, but all other trims received the real deal, with Platinum models getting a soft semi-aniline stash.

Leather-covered dash and door panels, aluminum speaker grilles, and adjustable interior ambient lighting are also offered to the vehicle that provides an upscale appearance. Like the previous model, both a standard and long-wheelbase model are offered, which is the last of which given more legroom for third-row riders and additional cargo space.
