The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is inspired by the automaker’s distinctive pony car and powered purely by electricity. Even though the vehicle shares name and familiar styling cues with the Mustang, but the two vehicles are completely unrelated. Ford says the Mach-E can obtain up to 305 miles of driving range, which helped it earn an Editors’ Choice award. While perfectionists might call the electric Mustang crossover blasphemous, Ford expects the name and design adaptation to gain attention and help sell a lot of versions of the Mach-E.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is available with either a standard-range 75.7 kWh battery or an extended-range 98.8 kWh pack. The vehicles combine to make 480 horsepower and up to 634 pound-feet of torque. Ford claims that the Mach-E GT Performance can go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E has an EPA-estimated range in-between 211 and 305 miles, depending on the type of electric motors and the battery pack, which is not as impressive as the rangiest Tesla models.

The Mustang Mach-E’s battery can be found under the car, which allows maximum cargo and passenger space. The interior of the Mach-E has little in common with the regular Mustang. Its sleek dashboard hosts a good-looking digital gauge cluster and is dominated by a large vertically mounted touchscreen.
