When Lexus revealed the updated IS, the 2022 Lexus IS arrived with similar lines, but with sharper elements. As an extended model, the IS500 F Sport Performance model joins the lineup for 2022 and has a 472-hp 5.0-liter V-8 engine and stronger exterior styling elements. The bulging hood, rear-end diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and subtle trunk-lid spoiler are all specially made for the IS500. At the front of the Lexus IS, there are two angular headlights straddle an enormous grille that goes from the bottom of the bumper to the tip of the hood. The rear end has sharp taillights that are covered to the side of the body and are linked together by a thin horizontal light.
The Lexus IS has three engine options, a 241-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the IS300, a 311-hp V-6 in the IS350, and also an all-new 472-hp V-8 in the IS500 F Sport Performance version. Requesting for the V-6 allows the Lexus IS to stand out among others and unlocks the F Sport package, which brings lots of performance upgrades such as a limited-slip rear differential, staggered 19-inch wheels.
When Lexus decides to redesign the Lexus IS for the 2022 Lexus IS model, Lexus made a few changes to the interior, but people with sharp eye or very sensitive will notice the relocated cup holders, round air vents near the door panels, and an infotainment system that have been moved closer to the edge of the dashboard. The Lexus IS also has dual-zone automatic climate control, and push-button start, while a power sunroof is optional.
The 2022 Lexus IS will be competing against the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, and Genesis G70 when it comes to price in Nigeria naira.
