This is the first full look at the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS, an all-electric luxury sedan that is going to be released soon. While mechanical and performance information will have to wait, Mercedes has revealed pictures of the interior and given us details on the vehicle’s design ahead of its launching. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS will have a dashboard-spanning infotainment screen, artful interior design, stylish materials selection, and a futuristic exterior with good-looking proportions, as well as some selection of soundscapes created to give auditory feedback to the driver.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS interior is the real star of this particular show. The whole dash of the vehicle comes with Mercedes-Benz’s new hyper screen. The rigid sheet of glass spans the whole of the dashboard, surrounding the driver’s instrument cluster, the center display, and the front passenger area. Within that sheet of glass, there are multiple screens, enabling what appears to be a limber, intuitive arrangement of cabin and entertainment controls. The Hyper screen can display different ambient backgrounds when not in use, complementing the RGB ambient lighting throughout the cabin.
If all that glass and screen is less than appealing to the buyer of the vehicle, Mercedes will offer a more conventional vertically oriented floating display just like that in the new S-class sedan. In the Hyper screen-less EQS variants, the dashboard can be covered with wood, metal, or other materials, with a range of designs. Whichever screen the buyer chooses, the center console below is an architectural affair, floating gently between the driver and passenger seats, leaving ample storage space underneath.

We are yet to see the uncovered photos of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS exterior. But we do know that it is based on the Vision EQS concept and that it will be artfully lacking excessive detail.
