Qatar Airways has revealed its summer schedule with plans to expand network to over 140 destinations, retaining its position as the leading international airline providing reliable global connectivity.
Having never stopped operation throughout the coronavirus pandemic the airline has worked energetically to be the Global leading airline for safety, innovation, and also customer experience. By the peak of the IATA Summer Season, Qatar Airways plans to operate more than 1,200 weekly flights to more than 140 destinations.
The Chief Executive, Qatar Airways Group, HE Akbar al-Baker said, “We are very happy to be leading the recovery of international aviation, performing the highest standards of bio-safety and hygiene and investing in the latest changes to simplify travel and restore passenger confidence during one of the most challenging periods in aviation’s history.

“Having never stopped flying during the coronavirus pandemic, we have used our experience, fuel-efficient fleet to operate a reliable network our passengers, trade partners, and corporate customers can depend on. We also continue to offer the biggest international network, including launching seven new destinations, to create the connectivity our passengers and cargo customers need.
“As the global vaccine distribution begins to gather pace, we are looking forward to a moderate easing of entry restrictions throughout this year and welcoming back millions of passengers onboard the World’s Best Airline.”
Qatar Airways Cargo also played an important role in maintaining a reliable schedule across the network of destinations. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Qatar Airways has assisted in transporting more than 500 thousand tons of medical supplies and delivered about 15 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to over 20 countries.

By the middle of summer 2021, Qatar Airways is planning to rebuild its network to over 140 destinations including 23 in Africa, 14 in the Americas, 43 in Asia-Pacific, 43 in Europe, and about 19 in the Middle East.
